Hey, Bruce. I hope you dealt with everything that just happened alright.

First, people have been keeping track, to a point, but I don't know if any of them have a documented list. I have one of people that I know, personally, and people that I've observed and don't have hex codes for, but it's largely incomplete. I'd rather you work with what you get on a post and what others give you. The first two that come to mind are Izuku and Dave, part of the force. They both had mentioned it before.

Second... I don't like assuming that even more people are going to come based on two events, but I can't say you're wrong, either. I'd like to see what the others think, so poll people on that, if you can. As for listing names and hex codes on homes... That's another thing you'll have to poll on. A lot of people are more secretive with their identities and safety than others. I don't mind it myself, but I can deal with it if someone targets me. You understand?

Along those same lines, it might help to tell everyone you're part of the force, and that I put you in charge of census. A few people might not like that, but a majority of them might actually feel more comfortable, since they're more familiar with me.

I haven't spoken to Izuku yet but Dave's been a good source of information. I'll get in touch with them to see what they already have and compare it to the public headcount.

If this place has the capacity to pull people from different universes to it, I don't think it's just going to stop at doing so twice. Regardless, if no one else arrives going forward, it would still be good to have something like that in the center of town if only for directional purposes. I also understand the need for privacy as well, I'm not a very public person myself. I'll offer the option of it being opt-in when I suggest it.

I failed on purpose. I wanted to see what would happen.

This system works here because we all work together as a family. As long as you're giving them that choice and trying to help, I don't think anyone will have a problem with it.

Anyway, I'll be watching it myself, but you can let me know when you think you've got enough input, too.

Family's a strong word for such a scattered group of individuals. Was that decided among you?

I don't think the results are finished yet, for the record. But no.

Anyway, family... It's how I taught my kids back home. When you're fighting to survive, and you've already lost more than you thought you had to begin with, the people around you, fighting at your side— they're the ones you have to be able to rely on. Friendship, camaraderie, love, it all helps keep the demons we use in our weapons at bay, but our bonds make us stronger, as well.

I guess you could say it was something I was taught when I was younger and I decided to apply it.

No. I just don't agree with the way this one was set up. And I didn't mean the kid thing like that. They're not really my kids. I took in one of them after he escaped from a vampire city, but that's it.

I'm Lt. Colonel of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, which answers your other question, too. I lead the Moon Demon Company, and some of the newest members were kids from my class. About eight years ago, 90% of the human population was lost to a virus that attacked and instantly killed anyone over the age of 13. Only those with connections to high powers survived thanks to vaccines, if they were older.

Before you ask, no, it's not an army of demons. We're all just humans trying to survive.

Chemical warfare? That's horrifying. Unless it wasn't a human creation and natural event. Still, horrifying.

Are the vampires traditional ones? Drink blood, no sunlight, etc? And are demons the same as vampires or is it three categories: demons, vampires, humans?

I don't know what traditional is. Drink blood, normally can't go in the sun but they have special armbands that let them, don't need sleep, heal unnaturally quickly. You need a demon weapon to be able to injure them and have it last.

Demons are different. Most of the time, demons used to be vampires, but we don't know all that much about it. I'm human, but I have a black demon series weapon, which means there's a demon inside of my sword. Through a contract, I can use its power while staying in control myself. If I couldn't, I would have died trying to make it.

I suppose that's right. Back in my universe, they're a myth. A fictional creature created to explain the unexplainable. They seem similar enough to yours but instead of a demon weapon, you need a priest or a wooden stake through the heart. Religious iconography is their weakness since they're supposed to be creatures produced by the devil or Satan, if you know who he is.

Interesting. Entirely different context for demon where I come from as well. Where do your demons come from, if you're able to make a contract and control them through a weapon like that?

Most of the time, they're really strong vampires that died in some way. They can also be humans that were taken over by their demon completely, too.

Where do the humans that have these demons get them? Is it vampire -> demon or the demon appears from... somewhere else? Hell or Earth? The word itself, it comes from the original Greek, δαίμων which means deity or spirit, sometimes evil. Is that the case for you?
